BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with international standards of transparency in terms of governance, and in conformity with applicable Swiss legislation, the Board of Directors and the Management of Faisal Private Bureau are two distinct organs both in their composition and their function. Management has absolute operational autonomy and the Board of Directors exercises a clear supervisory role comprising the Bureau’s strategy, performance and control mechanisms.

Khalid Abdulla-Janahi

Chairman

Khalid Abdulla Janahi is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer of Dar Al-Maal Al-Islami Trust (DMI Trust) with over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services. He is also the Chairman of Faisal Private Bureau (Switzerland) SA, the Islamic Investment Company of the Gulf (Bahamas) Ltd, Solidarity Group Holding and Ithmaar Development Company. Mr Janahi is a board member of Faisal Islamic bank of Egypt, Ithmaar Bank and Naseej. Mr Janahi was previously a Partner of PwC, Vice-Chairman of the Arab Business Council, World Economic Forum and a member of the Bahrain Economic Development Board and has served on a number of other boards including the Centre for International Business and Management, University of Cambridge.

Mr Janahi holds a BSc in Computer Science & Accountancy from the University of Manchester and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (UK). Mr Janahi is a frequent speaker at various events of the World Economic Forum and other high profile conferences.

Gilbert Coutau (*)

Vice-Chairman

Previously (and consecutively) member of the two chambers of the Swiss national Parliament - Conseil National and Conseil aux Etats. Was also Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva. Mr Couteau has been a member of the Board since 2000.

Ravindra Anant Khot

Member

Ravindra Khot, who was appointed the Ithmaar Bank Chief Operating Officer in September 2013, has more than 28 years of banking and finance experience. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Ithmaar Bank Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Khot had previously held many senior positions both in Bahrain and abroad. He was Vice President, Financial Administration, at TAIB Bank, Bahrain; Senior Manager, Assurance and Advisory, at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bahrain; Principal Consultant, Financial Services Consulting, at Oracle Financial Services (erstwhile i-flex Solutions Ltd), India; and Senior Vice President, Group Financial Controller, at Bahrain East Bank B.S.C., Bahrain.

Mr Khot is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting degree) from the University of Mumbai, India.
